About My Eraser Test

Hello again~! Because my Awashuwa Soda Eraser introduction is very short, I will also introduce my eraser test today, for the sake of my future eraser introductions.

The 'good eraser test' is a skill I learnt from my father when I was young. We would go shopping for stationery together when the stock (that my father keeps) runs out. For erasers, he would usually pick those that were in value packs. He would then squish them, then pass it to me for squishing while saying "This is what a good eraser feels like."

Although due to preferences, my 'good eraser test' may not be agreeable to all, but for me, it works 99% well.

Staedtler erasers tend to fail my test but are very good erasers (personal opinion), which I discovered after my mum bought a pack of 5 home and I had to finish them before I could get new ones. I feel that they erase well and I love the texture when I erase.

On the other hand, Pilot Foam Erasers do pass my the test but do not fit my personal preferences. I just don't enjoy the texture when it erases but it still does its job well.

Yup! So the 'good eraser test' that I have mentioned and will mention from now on is just simply squishing the eraser and judging from years of experience whether it will be good or not.

So till next Saturday with another eraser introduction, Adieu!

Awashuwa Cola Packet Erasers

Back again~! Today, Sora will be introducing Awashuwa Cola Erasers~! Before we move on about the erasers, Awa means bubbles, or in this case, foam, while shuwa is an onomatopoeia for the foam.

The erasers are in the form on the foam characters as shown in the packaging. They are red erasers with the shape of clouds and the character printed on in white. Each packet contains 6 erasers. I'm sorry I didn't want to destroy the packaging so I can't take out the erasers and show you how they look like. ( Get your own :P) The packaging claims that they are Cola scented.

There is a side by side comparison of the one I bought in Malaysia( a shop called Tokyo Station) and The one I bought in Daiso. Daiso's Packet seems a tiny bit smaller and the packaging design is different.

Name: Awashuwa Erasers (Cola)
Price: $2.00(Daiso)/4.50 Ringgit (Tokyo Station)
Place I bought it: IMM, Daiso/ Malaysia, Kuching, Tokyo Station

Though I didn't buy it from there, Big Box also has a shop where all the things are $2.00, found near the industrial freezer and botanic shop. It has products similar, if not, identical to these.

Pentel Ain Suits Collection

Hi~! Sora's back~! Following the Ain Red and Blue from week, this is the ones with different case designs as promised!

As you can see, one of them is Ain Black, while the remaining three is the same as Ain Blue from last week. The front has"make me most" (??) with different colored backgrounds and patterns at the bottom. The back has the different suits of a poker card (which is why I call it suits collection) with " nothing is impossible to a willing mind" (which probably makes more sense). As I have mentioned,I have never used Ain before but they passed my eraser test.

Name: Ain Hi-Polymer/ Ain Hi-Polymer Black
Price: I forgot too
Place: Jurong Point Popular (Urban Write)
Length: about 6.5cm

Pentel High Polymer Ain (Red and Blue)

Hi~! First Post! I have decided to upload a new post every Saturday so do come back to take a look! Looking at the schedule, my posts will be introducing my eraser collection for a while.

So today will be the Pentel Hi-polymer Ain! In future posts, there will be similar ones with different case designs so be excited! In the captions, I call them blue and red but the blue is labelled "erases well" in Japanese while the red is "eraser dust clumps together". Because this is for collection purposes, I have never used them before but both passed my eraser test. (which I will also introduce in a future post).

Visually and texture wise, I feel that the blue one is similar to the Pentel Hi-polymer Eraser (also in blue case which will also be introduced in the future) and the red one is similar to Pentel Soft Eraser (in the green casing also to be introduced in the future).

Name: Pentel High Polymer Ain (Red & Blue)
Price: I forgot
Place I bought it at: Westgate Tokyu Hands
Length: about 6.5 cm

Welcome to Sky Stationery Blog~!

Hello~

I'm Miyamoto Sora (fake name). I live in Singapore, 19, currently studying in year 2 of Junior College. I have a crazy obsession with Stationery, mainly erasers, notebooks and highlighters. So I have decided to create this blog to share my opinions of them, like my collections, where I got them etc. I may not be able to post very often but I'll try!

If you do have any suggestions of what you want me to recommend, do leave a comment and I will try!

Current plans for Sky Stationery Blog:
1. Introduction of my eraser collection
2. Introduction of my notebook collection
3. Introduction of other stationery I own
4. What I bring to school.
5. My eraser test when I buy them.

Do tell me which you are excited for too!
